We all know the experience of going to the cinema: a family outing or a trip with friends, the smell of popcorn, the sound of our footsteps absorbed by the carpet... It’s a familiar yet unique moment that resonates with each of us in our own way.

As a creative, this place resonates deeply with me. And what a pleasure it was to discover that we could collaborate with the famous Odéon cinema in Morges in 2024.

Unlike large cinema chains like Pathé, the people of Morges have a much more intimate relationship with the Odéon. For cinephiles in Morges and its surrounding area, the Odéon cinema is filled with childhood memories.

Interested in the subjective experience, I invited cinephiles and regular patrons of the cinema to participate in a photoshoot party to share and exchange on our common passion for the big screen.

The goal was to individually capture these people in the unique setting of the Odéon cinema.

The result is a series of portraits, blending humanity and cinema, which we printed with captions that tell each person’s relationship with the cinema and their best memories associated with the big screen.

These portraits were exhibited at Espace81, the local gallery in Morges. The exhibition was accompanied by a poster campaign throughout the city, inviting the people of Morges to discover its residents and (re)connect emotionally with the Odéon cinema.
